For Those Who Think They Cannot: How to Become an Artist

Bottled up within all of us is a part of our soul that needs to be expressed creatively. Have you wished you could do art? I’m here to tell you, that you are and can become an artist. It’s a matter of finding something that you find fulfillment, appreciation and most importantly, something that is enjoyable. Now is the time to abandon your pity party and unleash your talent.

Below is five steps on how to free yourself from doubt and becoming the artist you’ve dreamt of becoming!

Taking Action:
1. Believe in Yourself.

Firstly, you must believe in yourself. You are your toughest critic, if you believe you cannot, this will manifest into just that. Plain and simple. Your confidence will translate into your art work. People are like stained glass windows, they shine when light hits them, but it is only when darkness sets in that you have to find the light within.

2.Ask yourself what do you love doing?

What feeds your soul? I once came across an artist who took pictures of toilets (he must have just really loved toilets). This can include anything; from painting, sculpting, scrap-booking to taking pictures of toilets! In essence, dance to the beat of your own drum.

3. Become a mental warrior.

I don’t mean grabbing your machete and going off into battle. What I mean by this is accepting that sometimes things will come out crappy. Allowing yourself to make mistakes and learn from them. This warrior mentality (Oorah!) will enable you to be this much closer (If I could show you how close I would!) to becoming a mental warrior. Disappointment is inevitable, but only temporary.

4. Accepting Criticism.

This can be one of the hardest things to becoming an artist. Criticism will remain constant throughout your career. Sometimes it is hard to not be disappointed in yourself. However, remember that art is subjective. Harsh critics will be lurking everywhere, multiplying like gremlins in water. Criticism can be beneficial in some cases. For instance, maybe your technique could use some polishing. So take criticism with a grain of salt.

5. Patience.

Art comes easier to some more than others. On the other hand, working towards something while failing along the way will only make reaching the cake that much more delicious. Allow yourself to grow while using your mistakes as a learning tool.

Empty Pocket Divorce

Imagine waking up half your money in your account,
the divorce finally established that you couldn’t figure out
one day you were a billionaire the next day you couldn’t afford your house
everybody told you to leave her alone but you refused eliminating their doubts
now she claims “I can’t do this” and words about being friends
friends was not the future I planned for us in the end
so how can I be your friend when you deceived me as a partner
you cheated on me slept around bringing home STD’s with us at a doctor
like a fool I stayed because I wanted us to work out
who knew being so faithful would put you in a road with such a quick route
who knew forever ended when my pockets were almost finished
when all my money erased because your gold-digging ways helped it diminish
I’m sick, I’m heated, your my one regret I feel I should repeat it
make you feel this pain I feel, I’m hurt, my hearts cold, shut down won’t work
are you happy now that my money’s on E
everything I worked so hard to establish has been keyed
scratched off like a lotto I’m worth nothing but me
cause now I see that I’m all I have I look at you and can’t help but laugh
I’m washing myself of you in a steaming hot bath
your not worth my time my effort was misplaced
it should’ve been on a lady and not a girl who gives money 1st place
I guess I had to learn my lesson from someone so trifling like you
but it all makes since to me I see front view
all this love I gave was too much and too true
but I’m not stopping here or giving up on love
I’ll fly away from this situation head high in the sky like a dove…
if love seeks me again I won’t know where to begin
I just hope the individual is strong because they have a heart to mend
LOVE LOVE LOVE you did me so wrong let’s try again
let’s go search for someone who knows the difference between cash and my raft
because if you get on you must go with the flow
no turning your back on me or making our relationship #3
after your cars and your clothes because I will not be
my divorce made me see reality and now I’m a stronger person then the old me.

What Comes After Smallville?

Whilst still to debut its final season here in the UK, the popular America television show Smallville has now ended after ten seasons on air. Whilst the quality of the show fazed out towards the end, there’s no denying that the show about a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) in the years before becoming Superman was incredibly popular and an example of how superheroes can be handled on television. With its tenth and final season over,(spoiler) Clark has finally become Superman, and audiences are left wondering with Smallville finished, what comes next for superheroes on TV?

Whilst Smallville may not have been everyone’s cup of tea, it was successful able to take a character such as Superman and make a television show that was accessible to both men and women of all ages. For men it was a show about a beloved comic character that had cool characters and good action, but for women the show was also about the drama of a young superhero in the making going through high school. For me there are some great potential shows that could fill the void left by Smallville.

1) X-Men: First Class

This sci-fi show would show how the first group of mutants were trained by Professor Xavier to save the world and fight for mutant rights. Whilst having nothing to do with the movie of the same name, this show would be follow the original X-Men such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, Angel and Beast. To distinguish it from the movie, this show would depict the older years of Professor X, after Magneto and he had fallen out. It would have all the drama of teen mutants struggling to fit into society, whilst also being a show about superheroes with kick ass powers.

2) Deadpool

Now Ryan Reynolds seems all but tied up with Green lantern, I’m a true believer that a Deadpool movie simply won’t happen. Luckily, the character is under Fox who have a great reputation for TV shows. I’m certain Deadpool could easily translate into one awesome TV show if given the chance. A show about a mercenary with no rules and a big mouth would provide audiences with great action, good comedy and as well as providing something fresh from a comic book character now that comic book movies are at an all time high. Whilst casting the merc with a mouth would be difficult, I’m sure a show about Deadpool would provide some great fourth wall busting action.

What Age Should I Wear Pointe Shoes?

Some parents may be concerned as to when their little dancer should start wearing pointe shoes. There is no specific age that restricts your child from wearing pointe ballet shoes. Around age twelve, most students are prepared to dance in pointe shoes but it’s important to evaluate the strength of the student. It is possible to start Pointe work at an earlier age with the consent of an orthopedic doctor. The development of the ankles and strength of the muscles play a key role in whether or not the student is ready for pointe shoes. It is important to develop the muscles in the back, legs, and feet in order to be ready to work on Pointe work. It is also important, especially in young dancers, to protect bones that are still growing.

Putting too much pressure on growth plates and brittle bones can cause problems later down the line. It can also cause deformities of the bones in the feet. It is important to focus on technique and strength before trying Pointe work. Technique classes are essential in developing muscles and bone strength, another reason why it’s near impossible to put a specific age on pointe shoes. If you or your student has just recently started ballet lessons, I do not recommend starting Pointe work. In order to gauge whether or not you are ready for Pointe work, one should be able to do double pirouettes on both sides and a strong penche in the middle, at the very least. The student must also have the ability to maintain proper ballet position, as well as balance properly in releve.

Another thing that is important is talking to your instructor. An instructor can give important insight on what needs improvement, how to achieve certain goals, and whether or not they believe you or your student are ready for pointe ballet shoes. They can also provide additional techniques that can be used to strengthen muscles and bones in the ankles, legs, back, and abdomen in preparation for Pointe work. Once you or your student have put in the required work and you have decided that its time to start working on Pointe work, your ballet will take on a whole new level of grace and beauty. Dancing en pointe is an important goal in every ballerina’s life and through hard work, dedication and proper education, it’s a goal that you or your little dancer can achieve in due time.

Top Rated Tattoo Parlors – Knowing What One to Pick Out

Once you’ve determined to purchase a tattoo you’ll need to find a certified tattoo parlor. That is a very vital choice, as it could easily make or break your tattoo. When you decide on tattoo artists or top rated tattoo parlors, it’s essential to first verify that they’re qualified. Right now there are lots of tattoo parlors to choose from, several considerably better than others. Whenever you go to a not very good tattoo shop, you may potentially discover that you have an infection that may cause you way more problem than you believed possible. Finding out how long a parlor has been in business is crucial – as this will confirm just how much business the tattoo parlor receives.

As you seek out the top rated tattoo parlors you need to look for whoever has a good history with keeping their devices really clean. Sparkling equipment and a spotless tattoo studio is certainly the most significant thing to consider when working with tats. When the artist is not authorized or not an expert you will get virtually no promise that the supplies are clean. Health is a huge worry with tattoos for anyone, and for good reason. If you are planning to get a tattoo always make perfectly sure that the tattoo artists are professional, the tattoo shop is nice and clean – and the equipment is disinfected and cleaned following each tattoo.

The top rated tattoo parlors should welcome you in with open arms, looking forward to you as a customer. Every time you get together with the tattoo artist, he / she should be welcoming but not frighten you in the least, nor should he or she any time attempt to push a design upon you. Under no conditions should the artist attempt to talk you into purchasing a high-priced tattoo design if all you want is something small and simple.

Cunning sales and relentless employees are widespread pitfalls with most businesses. Top rated tattoo parlors ought to always be helpful and ready to accept what you desire. Even though the most veteran tattoo specialists will offer you their particular suggestions, they should not aim to shove you all around. If your tattoo artist thinks there will be an issue with your design or if they believe that they can do something to help it, they will more than likely notify you. Whenever they can save you some cash, the higher quality tattoo artists won’t think twice about doing so.
